Is there a way to do this?

I'm trying to automate a process in which I go to my website admin product search page, type in an item number, search it, go to that item's admin page, and hit an update button. Problem is, I have several thousand items. Is there a way to script it so it repeats the process for, say, every item number between 1 and 7000? How would I go about scripting that? Can it be done in iMacro, or does it require another program? This is my first foray into any sort of programming and could use some direction.
