Next image button not always being recognised

by psmalling on Wed Nov 23, 2016 9:04 am

I have a spreadsheet which contains some data which is used to update a web application. The web application runs a calculation process and requires the user to click through a number of pages before they then get the option to run the calculation.

The issue I'm having is that intermittently the Next image button isn't always recognised for some reason and the macro skips to the last line of code which is the run image button however as the run image button isn't available on this page the application times out after 6 seconds producing a warning message. What could the issue be as sometimes it works fine?

I am using internet explorer 11. The code has been provided below.

macro = macro + "TAG POS=1 TYPE=TD ATTR=TXT:{{Scheme}}" + vbNewLine
macro = macro + "TAG POS=1 TYPE=INPUT:TEXT ATTR=NAME:ctl00$MainContentPlaceHolder$MemberIdTextBox CONTENT={{Member_ID}}" + vbNewLine
macro = macro + "TAG POS=1 TYPE=INPUT:IMAGE ATTR=NAME:ctl00$MainContentPlaceHolder$SearchImageButton" + vbNewLine
macro = macro + "TAG POS=2 TYPE=DIV ATTR=TXT:Tools<SP>&<SP>Processes" + vbNewLine
macro = macro + "TAG POS=1 TYPE=A ATTR=TXT:Calculations" + vbNewLine
macro = macro + "TAG POS=1 TYPE=INPUT:IMAGE ATTR=NAME:ctl00$MainContentPlaceHolder$NewImageButton" + vbNewLine
macro = macro + "TAG POS=1 TYPE=SELECT ATTR=NAME:ctl00$MainContentPlaceHolder$CalculationTypeDropDownList CONTENT=$*{{Calc_Type}}*" + vbNewLine
macro = macro + "TAG POS=1 TYPE=INPUT:TEXT ATTR=NAME:ctl00$MainContentPlaceHolder$CalculationDateTextBox CONTENT={{Ret_Age}}" + vbNewLine
macro = macro + "TAG POS=1 TYPE=DIV ATTR=ID:ctl00_MainContentFixed" + vbNewLine
macro = macro + "TAG POS=1 TYPE=INPUT:IMAGE ATTR=NAME:ctl00$MainContentPlaceHolder$NextImageButton" + vbNewLine
macro = macro + "TAG POS=1 TYPE=DIV ATTR=ID:ctl00_MainContentFixed" + vbNewLine
macro = macro + "TAG POS=1 TYPE=INPUT:IMAGE ATTR=NAME:ctl00$MainContentPlaceHolder$NextImageButton" + vbNewLine
macro = macro + "TAG POS=1 TYPE=DIV ATTR=ID:ctl00_MainContentFixed" + vbNewLine
macro = macro + "TAG POS=1 TYPE=INPUT:IMAGE ATTR=NAME:ctl00$MainContentPlaceHolder$NextImageButton" + vbNewLine
macro = macro + "TAG POS=1 TYPE=DIV ATTR=ID:ctl00_MainContentFixed" + vbNewLine
macro = macro + "TAG POS=1 TYPE=INPUT:IMAGE ATTR=NAME:ctl00$MainContentPlaceHolder$RunImageButton" + vbNewLine

I've resolved this by using the !TIMEOUT_STEP macro.
