iMacros pastes content with a "name merge tag" in it?

by ddchb on Mon Jan 22, 2018 2:37 pm

Hi here is my use case:

1) I manually click the Message button next to someone's name in a linkedin search.

2) A canned message is then automatically pasted into the resulting input box, AND includes the recipient's first name (available in the page code) as a "merge tag" if you will.

3) I manually click the send button.

I just want to automate the entry of the person's name as it takes time, sometimes I make a typo and sometimes I forget to update it!

So I guess the implicit question is, can iMacros "play" the macro when I click a button, instead of when I click "Play"?

... Is iMacros the right solution for me? If not, could someone recommend a solution for this?

Thanks very much! :)

CIM...!
=> ... For me to read..., read my Sig, and/as I don't understand your "name merge tag" in your Thread Title...
- (F)CIM = (Full) Config Info Missing: iMacros + Browser + OS with all 3 Versions...
- I usually don't even read the Question if that (required) Info is not mentioned...
- Script & URL usually help a lot for a more "educated" Help...
