Re: How to remember and return to a TAB position?

Tom: I agree, your second approach is better because it doesn't rely on how many initial Tabs are open when the macro is invoked. In other news, I got this working by tweaking the settings in the hugely popular Tab Mix Plus add-on , which has the ability to override Tab opening and closing order whi...

Re: How to remember and return to a TAB position?

Thank you Tom. I was not using Tab Utilities, but I was using the Tab Mix Plus addon. Disabling this addon yielded the same results you just described, so at least we are on the same page now. Then I spent about an hour trying different combinations of TAB OPEN, TAB T=1, TAB T=2, etc with no success...

Re: How to remember and return to a TAB position?

Tom, thank you for your reply. Hi dforionstar, I'm not exactly sure what you are considering the starting tab in this case, because when I run your macro, it uses the current tab (which is what I would also call the starting tab) and when it is done, it closes this tab. So the reason why it doesn't ...

Re: How to remember and return to a TAB position?

Thank you Tom. :) Yes I read the note several times. Before I posted my first post about this issue I spent a fair amount of time researching how to code this including the TAB instruction and the related iMacros for Firefox situation. I understand that the tab I am on when I initiate the macro in F...

Re: How to remember and return to a TAB position?

Thank you Tom. Unfortunately, adding the TAB T=1, is not working. New Tab always opens as rightmost Tab, macro runs, then closes new Tab, But focus remains on last (rightmost Tab). Here is my code: VERSION BUILD=7220523 RECORDER=FX URL GOTO=about:config WAIT SECONDS=1 URL GOTO="javascript:val=gPrefB...

How to remember and return to a TAB position?

Firefox 5 I have 8 TABs open. I run a macro while on TAB #6 from the left. The macro OPENs a new tab as the last TAB, TAB #9, not next to TAB #6. When the macro ends, it properly CLOSES TAB #9 and focus goes to TAB #8, not back to TAB #6. The macro is working properly except it should return to the ...

Re: Is it possible to specify a Preference Name in about:con

OK, I think I got it: VERSION BUILD=7220523 RECORDER=FX URL GOTO=about:config WAIT SECONDS=1 URL GOTO="javascript:val=gPrefBranch.getBoolPref('browser.display.use_document_colors');gPrefBranch.setBoolPref('browser.display.use_document_colors',!val);" WAIT SECONDS=1 URL GOTO="javascript:val=gPrefBran...

Re: Is it possible to specify a Preference Name in about:con

Thanks siniy! :D 1) The WAIT is not working even from the bookmark. I tried up to 5 seconds with no improvement. 2) I use Macro Express http://www.macroexpress.com/ and assigned F2 to run a one line batch program "C:\APPS\WEB\Firefox\firefox.exe" http://run.imacros.net/?m=Toggle-Colours.iim but stil...

Re: Is it possible to specify a Preference Name in about:con

Thank you again siniy! What I need to do is to be able to toggle both prefs = true when I run the macro, then both prefs=false, then both=true, etc. That is why I was trying to use the ENTER key in About:config. If I knew how to code this: If a pref = TRUE, then set to FALSE. Else set to TRUE (becau...

Re: Is it possible to specify a Preference Name in about:con

Thank you siniy. Unfortunately I don't know Javascript. While I am able to figure out how to replace the preference names in your example with my own, I am clueless about the rest of the script. I had read a post (circa 2007) where iMacros was considering adding some of what I need in a future relea...

Is it possible to specify a Preference Name in about:config?

This is my first Firefox imacro using v. 7.2.2.0. I'm trying to toggle screen colors as follows. The macro isn't complete; it gets into about:config and stops with the following error: " UnsupportedCommand: command DS is not supported in the current version, line: 4 (Error code: -912) " Here is the ...
