Re: copy and form fill

Your question is to vague to get specific help but I do this all the time and there are several ways to do it. If you are reading the info from the website then you can do the extraction with an extract command but how you tell the macro what information you need might be tricky depending on how it ...

Problems with Eval

USING THE LATEST UPDATE: VERSION BUILD=7500718 RECORDER=FX I have an eval statement at the beginning of a macro that checks to see if that same variable has been set by the last line of the same macro (it is basically a "loop" variable). This statement worked in the previous version and does not wor...

Re: Help With Loop & condition in Firefox I Macro Scripting.

this is very basic javascript and you definitely should have figured out how to do this with 12 hours of searching, but your code would be something like this: var loopNum, play; loopNum = prompt('Loop Number:','100'); loopNum = loopNum*1; for(i=1;i<loopNum;i++){ if(i%5!=0){ play = iimPlay('Macro1')...

Re: Can iMacros help me?

I might get in trouble for saying this, but have you looked at sikuli scripts, it might be a better solution for that application.

Re: Problem for installing iMacros V8 on IE9

I had several bug like issues when I installed version 8. I ended up reverting back to v7.5. I had issue similar to what you are describing, but I could exit and reopen the browser a couple of times and eventually the imacros bar would come up ok.

Re: V.B. Exit Loop if Next Page Not Found...

you can extract the text when you tag it and send it back to vb and test the returned value as your while loop statement (you will get #EANF# returned back if it is not found)

Re: List of values

I have never needed to do this but you should be able to do something lke this: SET !VAR1 EVAL("var x = 'value1,value2,value3,value4 ...'; x=x.split(','); var y = {{!LOOP}}; y = y-1; var z = x[y]; z;") and then just set your content = !VAR1 and tag the button you need to click, then end the macro, s...

Re: How to pass NEWLINE char to textarea?

is there a way to do this just with iMacros, I believe the newline character works ok with iMacros for IE but not firefox. Also, I have noticed that if I extract text from a textarea and simply paste it in another textarea, it will preserve the newline characters, but if i use the extract variable i...

Re: How do I submit a form without ID or NAME

Does the button have the same text or have a value? If so, you should be able to skip the form id and name and use the "ATTR" tag. Regardless you should be able to use a wildcard (*) for any of the id's, value, or text and rely on the "POS" tag. TAG POS=3 TYPE=INPUT:SUBMIT ATTR=VALUE:* I haven't per...

Re: how to run several macros and repeat them?

The only way I know to do this is to use the scripting edition (I think is the Enterprise Edition Now) and do something like the following into a .vbs file and run this Dim iim1 Dim iret Set iim1= CreateObject ("imacros") For i = 1 to 35 iret = iim1.iimPlay("macro1") Next iret = iim1.iimPlay("macro2...

Re: Need help extracting text

instead of using "TYPE=DIV" you can use "TYPE=STRONG" there might be plenty of places that have strong tags so you might have to alter the "POS" value some or you can add 'ATTR=TXT:$*' which will look for a strong tag that has text starting with a '$' sign. So I think this will be your best bet. TAG...

imacros 8 hangs up

The following code seems to hang up, when playing it with replay speed set to fast. Occasionally it will run properly the first time but will typically hang up the next time. If i run the code with the playback speed set to medium, it will run just fine over and over again. This also runs just fine ...

Release notes?

Sorry to get off topic here, but is there a more detailed list of releases notes than: http://wiki.imacros.net/Version_History to keep up with whats new? I also checked the news and announcements forum which doesn't offer up any more information than the above link.
