Avoiding the TAG command

By way of background, I should mention that I've been programming for over 50 years. My application is a rather complex scripting system that I've written in perl. It involves retrieving a large number of files from a online repository of pdf files. It's quite important that I keep track of what I'v...

But there's still a problem for me

The problem is that I don't want to use the TAG command to get to the pdf page. I want to use the URL GOTO command to go there directly. And with URL GOTO, there is no subcommand CONTENT:... so the above method doesn't work. I can probably code around this by creating on my disk a file temp.html wit...

That seems to work

That works. Thank you very much! But I'm mystified as to how you knew that. The User Manual does NOT list the TAG subcommand CONTENT=EVENT:SAVETARGETAS The user manual does list the TAG subcommands CONTENT=EVENT:SAVETARGET and CONTENT=EVENT:#SAVEITEM but neither of them worked for me. So, how did yo...

Demo-SavePDF doesn't work either

That demo doesn't work for me. It downloads a 1-page PDF test document, and then it gets stuck on step 6: ONDOWNLOAD FOLDER=* FILE=+_{{!NOW:yyyymmdd_hhnnss}}

It never gets to step 7 SAVEITEM.

Furthermore, after it gets stuck, if I stop it and then play it again, it gets stuck on step 0 VERSION...

OnDownload gets stuck

Here's my latest attempt to save a pdf file on disk. The macro succeeds in showing the pdf file, but then it gets stuck on the next to last step, and the file is not saved on disk. Furthermore, if I stop the macro and then try to restart it, it then gets stuck on the VERSION step. I also tried rever...

How can I download a pdf file?

I've looked through the user forums and I cannot find anything that answers this question: How can I download a pdf file? In the iMacros Browser I can get to a particular pdf file. (See for example the macro below.) Then I do Rec -> Record, Commands -> SavePage, enter, enter, Stop. This process down...

PERL WRAPPER FOR iMACRO SCRIPTS

Here is some code I wrote that I think may be useful to others. It includes a mini library of perl calls to iMacro functions and a demo program that exercises some of the functions in the mini library. I think it is fairly easy to understand. Additionally, it would be quite easy to translate this fi...

This is the macro that runs into difficulty. Unfortunately, for security reasons I cannot give you the correct number to use for the CONTENT below, so you will not have any way to test this. But perhaps you can find some quirk on the web page that explains why the server responds that there has been...

Need to combine script and manual input - Where is Continue

There's a particular site that allows me to login manually, but when I replay the stored macro (either via a script or via iMacros Browser play), the login fails. I've looked at the html and javascript of the login page, and it seems very simple, so I don't know why the macro fails. To code around t...

Passing in a var1

What am I doing wrong? This macro (LEX) does the right thing. It goes to the designated URL: VERSION BUILD=6100118 TAB T=1 TAB CLOSEALLOTHERS SET !VAR1 http://www.google.com URL GOTO=http://{{!VAR1}} But if I remove the SET statement and then invoke the LEX macro with a script as follows, it doesn't...
