Re: Help with URL GOTO=file:

Tom you have been very helpful. I am confident I can go ahead and purchase the license now.

The work around works great, and thanks for the tip to turn it off after.

I am sorry I was confusing at times, but I am glad you were able to work through it show me I was not crazy.

Re: Help with URL GOTO=file:

I made a misleading Statement.
I configured WINDOWS to open all RTF files with Wordpad.
Configured Chrome to "always open" RTF files.

Re: Help with URL GOTO=file:

I am sorry for throwing multiple macros at you. The issues happens with all 40 or so macros, so from my point of view it doesn't matter which macro I try, I get the same behavior. But you are correct, I am not being consistent with you, I can be confusing the issues. So, here is a screen shot of the...

Re: Help with URL GOTO=file:

Tom, you wrote Make sure that "Allow access to file URLs" is enabled for iMacros in your Chrome extensions settings: I double checked and that is enabled. I tried again and got the same results. It does download the the document, but just hangs there. The timer shows it is waiting (loading) for some...

Re: Help with URL GOTO=file:

Hello @tom, I am not sure where I am at. I have a 30 day license and this is suppose to give me everything. I have installed the File access module. I don't get the error you identified - "BadParameter: Unsupported variable !VAR5, line: 3" It just stops running and eventually I get a timeout. The sp...

Re: Help with URL GOTO=file:

Thank-you @chivracq for the enormous amount time you spent on this. The issue persists but I am ready to give up. I will tell you what is happening but I am losing the will to live so this is more for info. I am thinking that the alternative is to create the Macros from scratch and see if that works...

Re: Help with URL GOTO=file:

Thanks for replying.

I do have a full evaluation. I also have already installed the file access option.

The file opens/downloads, it is just that nothing happens after that. It just stays at that location in the macro and never moves on to the next step.

Any suggestions?

Help with URL GOTO=file:

Without going into great detail, I am a long time user of iMacros for Firefox and am forced to upgrade because the version I run only works in a (now) unsupported version of Firefox. I am in the middle of a 30 day trial before I take the plunge and buy the product. The imacros for Firefox new versio...

How do I make iMacros start another macro on an error

I have a number of web sites that I need to enter information but they change the frame number randomly (to prevent bots from entering the data I suppose) So my Macro starts, gets to the where it needs to enter the data, but gives and error because it cannot find the field: Macro TEST1.iim VERSION B...

VERSION BUILD=6210317 - Issue with Pause

Hello I noticed that the pause function seems to be wacky since I upgraded this AM. The macro was created with a previous version, so maybe I just need to change a syntax? VERSION BUILD=6111213 RECORDER=FX TAB T=1 URL GOTO=http://www.cbc.ca/contests/ Pause 'Click on Enter Now beside ColdFX TAG POS=1...

"back" not recording in iMacros for Firefox

Hello, Running VERSION BUILD=6101203 RECORDER=FX When I am recording a macro I noticed that it no longer records the back button. I need to go back into the macro and manually type in "Back". Not a big deal now that I know what is happening I can live with it, but I thought I should let you know. th...

Re: State/Province issue on Form Filling

Regarding the error message I think what I mean is that before there was a delay when it couldn't find an item to fill in the form. This delay was actually helpful sometimes. I have a macro that goes to a page an enters information on a site that i visit often. Sometimes I am already logged into the...

Re: State/Province issue on Form Filling

I am still having this issue. I have installed 6.0.6.9 and it now records them properly, but existing macros don't work. I started to change them but have given up. The amount of work on my 50 - 60 macros is too large. I will roll back and wait and see what happens with the new versions. I will reco...

Re: State/Province issue on Form Filling

OK, I here is a Temporary fix: When recording the macro it will record the value as "$BC" as it always has However since the text of the drop down is actually "British Columbia" I need to edit the macro after to read "$British<SP>Columbia". Now the macro works. Definitely a bug tho. Not sure what ha...
