Not filling hidden inputs in forms

I have the newest beta version and i am trying to fill this form. Using the web developer tool bar i can see it highlighting the hidden inputs but it never sets the content. I was curious about the call to

fos=new java.io.FileOutputStream(fname,append);

and i tried to run this and it could not find 'java'.

I though that java and javascript were different and you could not call java stuff from javascript.
can anyone clear this up

Well you will need to do some kind of local file system stuff which is usually dependent on your browser and os. here is a site that says how to do it on windows http://www.c-point.com/JavaScript/artic ... Script.htm.

Is there a way to get at the javascript interface to make a plugin for firefox? or could i use the script sharing url thing?

Well I would just like to know if there is a way so select a a link with out following it. And to get to the url you need a password and i dont really feel like giving out my password.
