Re: How do I use a variable to "click" a link?

Normally, I wouldn't be making parent-child scripts either... but... In our case, we're using iMacros primarily to do some web-application development testing. There is a team of about 30 of us in all and my goal is to be able to make the recommendation that we all start using iMacros. We can share ...

Re: How do I use a variable to "click" a link?

I'm using a combination of iim and JavaScript. I have a "master" script written in JavaScript that fires up several iMacro syntax scripts. Using a combination of extract and iimSet commands in both the "child" and "master" scripts, I can set my own variables. See this thread: http://forum.imacros.ne...

ONDIALOG support changed in 6.x.x.x???

I've got several recorded scripts from the most recent 5.x.x.x version that are not functioning as expected in 6.1.1.4... I'm hoping it's a simple fix, but I'm thinking not. I have several scripts that were recorded and contain several ONDIALOG tags. These are no longer working in 6.1.1.4. 99% of th...

How do I use a variable to "click" a link?

I have a situation where I need to use an extracted value to click links elsewhere in a web application and I can't seem to get the syntax correct. For example, I may log in to a web app using a known "company code"; this company code would be needed in a few other places within the web site as link...

Re: Still getting syntax error nulling out a form field

Thanks for the suggestion. However, I can't use a space in some of the fields; they are controlled by JavaScript on the page to be either numeric or null/empty. A space violates the rules of some of the fields. FWIW, before posting the first time, I tried to do something like this: TAG POS=1... ...C...

Still getting syntax error nulling out a form field (solved)

All, I'm in dire straits here (not the band)... I have about 40 scripts I recorded with an earlier version and on December 10th, I upgraded to the latest version (6.1.1.0 at that time) and as of v. 6.1.1.3, I'm still stuck. In several macros, I need to basically null out or clear the contents out of...

Re: Syntax error setting form field to "empty" or null

No dice. I did it like this:

Code: Select all

iimSet("blank", "");
iimPlay("mymacro");

TAG...CONTENT={{blank}}
and it stored "__undefined__" in the field (sans the quotes);

Syntax error setting form field to "empty" or null

Hello, After updating to iMacros for Firefox 6.1.1.0, I'm now getting a syntax error on scripts that ran fine in previous versions. The intent is to clear out a value from a text box on a form; basically, setting it to null or empty. The script line reads as follows: TAG POS=1 TYPE=INPUT:TEXT FORM=N...

URL problem after upgrade to 6.1.0.9

I have several scripts recorded and/or created with an earlier version of iMacros for Firefox. When I try to run any of them (even ones recorded with 6.1.0.9 this afternoon), I get this error: BadParameter: The URL syntax is not correct: 'http://myserver.mycompany.com:9080/theapp/login.jsp', line 3 ...

Passing arguments to sub-scripts?

Is there a mechanism for passing prompted arguments to sub-scripts? For example, I have this JavaScript macro that calls other macros as follows: iimPlay("Common/login") iimPlay("Test/DoSomething") iimPlay("Common/logout") and I would like to do something more like this: iimPlay("PROMPT Enter<SP>tar...

Relative positioning in FireFox availability?

Any idea when the relative positioning (backwards) may be available in the iMacros for FireFox plugin? According to what I've found on the iMacros site, it's in 6.2.xx, but the plugin is still 6.0.xx I have a script that runs fine in full iMacros but fails when run in the FF plugin. It does somethin...
