Re: Can a server tell that an iMacro is running?

the only reason i can think you would ask this is because you want to use it for something that you are not supposed to use automated tools for, in which case, don't. i'm not aware of anything different that imacros changes in the http headers, that'd be a question for tech support, but the speed at...

Re: Stoooopid Noob Question......duh!

This program will create and memorize a macro when I "tell" it to. I can than name that macro with either text or a number? Yes Then when I open the Craigslist "post an ad" page I can "tell" Imacro to do "macro 10" or another macro and my ad will be filled in....right? Yes Can this program "pull" t...

Re: Extraction Works in Imacros But Data is #EANF# in Excel

#EANF# stands for Extraction Anchor Not Found, which means it can't find the right elements on the page to extract im a bit confused as to what you're doing with these lines: iret = iim1.iimSet("USERNAME", Cells(row, 3).Value) iret = iim1.iimSet("-var_USERNAME", Cells(row, 1).Value) the 2nd one is g...

Re: LOOP with out having to log back into system

easy option: remove the URL GOTO and any line for logging in, then do those yourself, and run the repeated part in a loop. automated option: script something like this: iret = iim1.iimPlay("CODE:URL GOTO=url here") iret = iim1.iimPlay("\Login.iim") while iret>0 count++ iret= iim1.iimSet("-var_loopva...

Re: Take a screenshot using keyword search for error

the way i would do it, would be to have a bunch of macros, one for each section, using this line to check for an error. TAG POS=1 TYPE=* ATTR=TXT:*Error* CONTENT=EVENT:FAIL_IF_FOUND the use VB to run through each macro, and if you get a return code of <0 use this line: SAVEAS TYPE=BMP FOLDER=* FILE=...

Re: Total noob at this

Do the first step manually, (i.e. going to the site and getting to the relevant part of it).

the write a macro to do the repetitive steps, and run it in a loop

Re: Extracting address from email (free text)

if you use a web based email client, it can be done, if you use outlook, you'll need to investigate other options.

Re: More Xpaths functionality

if you're using the scripting interface write a macro that selects the 'Loading' text, and loops continually until that script errors, after which it continues to the next macro.

Re: Extract with "IF" loop

first this, check if this will actually select the row TAG POS=1 TYPE=TD ATTR=TXT:Pairing TAG POS=R1 TYPE=TR ATTR=CLASS:disabledRow TAG POS=R1 TYPE=TD ATTR=TXT:* EXTRACT=TXT If that works (which i think it should) Then have your script do the following (its pseudo code) Open Browser errorList = empt...

Re: I NEED help with this: 2 important but quick questions!

1: use the built in loop function, set the max to be 4000, then put page={{!LOOP}} or however you identify the page from the number in your goto. then hit play loop

2:

Code: Select all

WAIT SECONDS=3
3: don't spam, its not nice

Re: Extract with "IF" loop

2 options i can think of. One, select your element using EXTRACT=HTM then interrogate the extract for your color. for an example of the extract content run: URL GOTO=https://www15.swalife.com/PortalWeb/cwa.jsp?test=test FRAME F=2 TAG POS=1 TYPE=DIV ATTR=CLASS:swaFormNote EXTRACT=HTM or, a better opt...

Code: Select all

"C:\Program Files\iMacros\imacros.exe" -macro macro_name_here
not sure if this requires the scripting interface or not
