Re: Escaping square bracket [ ] characters

I would try changing your clickmode to 'Use Complete HTML' when recording the script, that way iMacros will use the full HTML element to generate the tag command, then you can see what it is using for that element, and either change whats under name, or use a different value (maybe id or something)

Re: VBS parsing help

is the problem your having with the macro or just parsing the string? if its the string, this is what i use to get the 9th and 10th char from the variable 'region'

Code: Select all

region = iim1.iimGetLastExtract(0)
region = Mid(region, 9,2)

Re: ErrorIgnore message

i just ran this macro, and i can see the error popping up, although it seems to pop-up saying the option is invalid, then say 'ignoring the error' then continue to the next one anyway. try lowering your timeout and see if that decreases the wait time.

Connect to web repository of scripts

Is it possible to configure iMacros to connect to a web repository of scripts, rather than having to point to a folder within a file system?

Re: Help dealing with website timeout

If it times out alot, try increasing your timeout in the macro itself.

Code: Select all

SET !TIMEOUT 120
this will set the timeout to be 120 seconds, once the page is loaded you could decrease this back to its normal value the same way.

Code: Select all

SET !TIMEOUT 120
'LOAD PAGE
SET !TIMEOUT 60

Re: iimInit in the same browser window...

You could try Set iim1 = CreateObject ("iMacros") i = iim1.iimInit("-ie") imacroLoadPage() function imacroLoadPage() 'initialize Scripting Interface ' play macro i = iim1.iimPlay("v6/test") ' check success If i > 0 Then MsgBox "yay 1!" ' iMacro was successful, call next function imacroCheckCalledPag...

Re: Take Screenshot on error

I did exactly this using Java code with the Scripting Components.

Code: Select all

 int code = iim.iimPlay("mymacro");
if (code < 0) {
iim.iimPlay("CODE: SAVEAS TYPE=BMP FOLDER=* FILE=mymacro_error_{{!NOW:yyyymmdd_hhnnss}}.bmp);
}
This could just as easily be done in vbs or js or any other language

Re: Tag Timeouts in IE/IMacros Browser

Dammit, for some reason i'd got it into my head that was a Firefox only command.

This has given me much better results, but doesnt seem to work right, when doign SET TIMEOUT_TAG 3 i get a tag timeout of 12 seconds. See attached screenshot

Tag Timeouts in IE/IMacros Browser

Is there anyway to manipulate the tag timeout setting for these browsers, i knwo its suppsoed to default to 1/5th of the main time out, but when i have imacros default to a 600 second timeout (some of the screens take a long time to process) setting it to 10 seconds for an individual line is leaving...

Re: loop to enter all records on webform

What kalyanraj has put is not strictly true, you can still loop without having to use the scripting interface. See this example http://wiki.imacros.net/Demo-Slideshow note, you can only loop up to 3 times with the trial version. However you have much more control over your looping using scripting, w...
