Re: Help newbie navigate through links

write down the steps, then build the code from that. goto site enter details click button for each page for each result click link click submit Guessing you are using the free iMacros for Firefox, so you'll need the JS interface, but your code will be like this: iret = iimPlay("StartMacro.iim") whil...

Re: conditional script

if you only have the firefox plugin, you'll need to use the built in Javascript scripting interface, not the full one.

Re: Need Help Shortening This Macro

best i can do without the scripting interface:
note, this is untested, may need tweaking to work for you.

Code: Select all

SET !ERRORIGNORE YES
SEARCH SOURCE=REGEXP:"([1-8])" EXTRACT=$1
SET !ERRORIGNORE NO
TAG POS=1 TYPE=* ATTR=TXT:*{{!EXTRACT}}* CONTENT=EVENT:FAIL_IF_FOUND

Re: Using SEARCH SOURCE=TXT

CONTENT=EVENT:FAIL_IF_FOUND doesn't work on input fields btw (or at least it didn't when i last used it),

but yes, you can use that to trigger a failure. Dont think you can use it with the SEARCH command though

Re: extract only needed text?

not easily, due to the html format you could get either the label, or the label and text.

to get just the text you need either a complex piece of regex (see the SEARCH command)
or use the scripting interface and strip the text off yourself (this is what i do)

ok, thats not even iMacros its trying to use, its trying to access the servers file system, which your script might not have access to.

Re: Scraping multiple rows

1. Either use: iimSet("myURL", yourURLValue) with URL GOTO={{myUrl}} or: iimPlay("CODE:URL GOTO=" & yourURLValue) 2, you need 2 seperate play commands, but using the second option above you can have only 1 macro itself. 3. for (int i=0;i<10;i++) { iimSet("myPos", i) iimPlay(yourMacro) } with TAG POS...

Re: Replacing Content in CSV File On SAVEAS

you'd have to delete the file first, by default SAVEAS TYPE=EXTRACT will always append, and there is no way to change that. IF you use the scripting interface you can use that to delete the file before starting.

Re: Noob Question: How to conitnue loop on error

that doesn't necessarily continue the loop on error, it continues the macro, if you want to allow the error, but move to the next row you'll need to use the scripting interface

Re: Use !LOOP in a iim script and not have an upper boundary

if you said to loop 10 times, and only had 8 elements, the script would likely fall over when it tried to select the 9th, as it wouldn't be there. if you ran it through the scripting interface, the error would be returned there, but when using the scripting interface, you loop manually, so it wouldn...
