Re: No text to point to in the TAG command

Hi Daniel, Yes, indeed I misunderstood you! Sorry! And to answer your question, the text to the left of the link is indeed "static" in the sense that this is always the caption to the left of the cell and link to be clicked on. And your "relative positioning" script indeed worked. Thanks! (I'll have...

Re: Once again: ONDOWNLOAD is ignored

Hi Daniel, Yes, of course I did. The fact remain though that in these two scripts one descriptor is consistently obeyed, and in the other it is consistently ignored. IMHO, here you have an excellent test case, a consistent one, for analyzing the behavior of your code and find why this misbehaves. Wo...

Re: Once again: ONDOWNLOAD is ignored

Hi Daniel,

Sorry pal, I read many times about it and that was my first attempt, to no avail...

Please see my explanation in my other post. This page converts (exports) first, only then it downloads the resultant.

Re: No text to point to in the TAG command

Hi Daniel, By "static" I mean that the file is created once and linked to. Then, when you click it, it is downloaded as-is, without any further processing. This is as opposed to other data typically on this site. This other data are HTML code and contents meant for viewing. But when you click on the...

No text to point to in the TAG command

I am trying to create a macro that will run daily and download a specific datafile. To download it manually , I click it in the red-rectangle-marked cell in the following screen shot: TASE_table.jpg As you can see from the Macro below, the ATTR=TXT: value there is the file size at that particular da...

Once again: ONDOWNLOAD is ignored

Searching the forums here I discovered that there were numerous complaints about this ONDOWNLOAD statement being ignored. The latest one I found was as recent as last September (2009). Well, I encountered it too. I am using the latest FireFox and iMacro plugin on a continuously updated WinXP Pro SP3...

Re: Perl script: "Navigation to the webpage was canceled"

Dear Daniel, Oh God! (This is the religious corner, isn't it?) That simple! Two points though: 1) Is it documented somewhere? I can't recall any such directive. Come to think of it though, it is not surprising. In Perl on Windows you can indeed use, without escaping, straight slashes as folder separ...

Re: Perl script: "Navigation to the webpage was canceled"

Shalom Daniel! First: Your VBS macro works like a charm, no problem! Second: The Perl I work with is: This is perl, v5.10.1 built for MSWin32-x86-multi-thread (with 2 registered patches, see perl -V for more detail) Copyright 1987-2009, Larry Wall Binary build 1006 [291086] provided by ActiveState h...

Re: Perl script: "Navigation to the webpage was canceled"

Dear Daniel, OK! First : Start -> Run "iexplore http://www.google.com" opened the Google homepage in the IE with no problem. Second : I downloaded and installed FireFox and the iMacro for it. I then invoked the VBS script you sent me and I observed as followed: 1) The initial address line was at lea...

Re: Perl script: "Navigation to the webpage was canceled"

Sorry Daniel, but it seems to me that it displays the same symptoms. What I did is to copy (clicked the "Select All" of the code), pasting it into a text editor, and then saving it with a ".VBS" extension. I then invoked it with a double click which immediately showed the IE page with the following ...

Re: Perl script: "Navigation to the webpage was canceled"

Oh yest, it is.
Regretabley, I am doing these manually, but I sure would like to automate it.
I almost gave up on you. I was doing something else so I hadn't time to uninstall iMacro.

Re: Perl script: "Navigation to the webpage was canceled"

And another clue: I placed "print" statements liberally as followed: use strict; use Win32::OLE; print "Just started\n"; my $b = Win32::OLE->new('imacros') or die "iMacros Browser could not be started by Win32:OLE\n"; $b->{Visible} = 1; print "After invoking the IE\n"; #Start the iMacros Browser - U...
