Re: VBScript IE CreateObject ("iMacros") fails

I've just noticed exactly the same, meaning I'm a moron.
Sorry for the mess.

Re: VBScript IE CreateObject ("iMacros") fails

This is getting really funny ;) Above method works only once per browser instance - second click opens download window... Lol..
So yes, problem running iMacros in IE is still there :)

Re: VBScript IE CreateObject ("iMacros") fails

Woops, this might be an answer: http://forum.imacros.net/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=6007 "Post by Tech Support on Fri Jan 02, 2009 4:21 pm You can not embed iMacros like the standard VB webbrowser control, (...)" I was going to say here that you lie to customers, but no. I like your software and hope that ...

Re: iMacros into software

You might want to check out scripting edition if you want to run iMacros from command line (that fires up the browser).

If you need pure command-line powerful web scripting, use PhantomJS. iMacros is for testing/scrapping using standarized browsers (and does it well).

VBScript IE CreateObject ("iMacros") fails

I've made a web page with <script language=VBScript>. When trying to: set iim1 = CreateObject ("iMacros") I get the message: Could not create 'iMacros' object (as a browser error). Using Internet Explorer 8 and trial Scripting Edition. Running imacros test in IE8 by clicking .vbs file works properly...

Re: Running remote .iim from a webpage with single click?

Ok, I tried some hacks by myself and become stuck at 'Can not run macro, no iMacros div found'. Dispatching an iMacrosRunMacro event doesn't seem to work (when I override the above alert). Had some success with imacros://run/?code= though, so stopped digging. Very clever of iOpus to have scaring sec...

Re: Running remote .iim from a webpage with single click?

I'm sorry for not being clear enough. Yes, by remote I meant running iMacros on a computer that clicked the link. For example John opens http://internal.tests/some-tests/ and clicks <a href=?>run_baners_test</a> and the macro starts to play in his browser. He observes the results and that's the poin...

Re: Running remote .iim from a webpage with single click?

Hmm.. problems: * IE does not support imacros://run/?m=, link-embedded macros nor Javascript scripting * Firefox does not support VisualBasic scripts So... the only way to run a remote .iim is to write your own program that downloads and runs it using Scripting interface. And exactly the same for fi...

Running remote .iim from a webpage with single click?

How would one approach setting up a webpage with liks that ran imacros scripts? SELECT [ test.host.com || staging.host.com || dev1.host.internal ... ] Link: Run test for adding banner -> would immediately go to selected host and start replaying addBanner.iim (that is *not* local). If it's impossible...

Re: Firefox click mode does not have Direct Screen option.

Thank you for your answer. This is very bad news for us :(

We have a javascript htmleditor to test and only easy and cross-browser way to enter text is to use DS KEY commands.
Please do add DS to Firefox.

PS: Yes, I know htmleditors have textareas somewhere at the back, thank you ;)

You might: generate script based on outside data about this select generate !VAR1 based on csv data and use it as CONTENT={{!VAR1} Get into ignore error mode and increasingly set select the next option up to 1000 :) Scripting Edition: play script to a moment where you'd click select, count options w...

Re: javascript loop problem

You have used the same loop index variable (i) in outer and inter loops.
Even worse, you used global variable. Bad coding.

Re: Firefox click mode does not have Direct Screen option.

My company is considering iMacros purchase, so it's importand for us to know if above statement is still true. We would like to use DS commands in Firefox under Linux in Scripting edition (or player). No support for DS in Firefox makes iMacros not very useful to us. I'm also shocked that so importan...
