Make sidebar active with IE tab

WIndows 10, IE11, VERSION BUILD=11.5.498.2403 On occasion the sidebar seems to become unlinked or disassociated with the IE tab. The macro is meant to simply extract a number from the IE tab 1 website and then paste it into the IE tab 2 website, but sometimes I will run it and it does not extract th...

Re: Automatically open imacros sidebar when opening IE

Figured I was over thinking this. Just went in and made a desktop shortcut for..

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Ipswitch\iMacros\iMacros.Sidebar.exe"

It opens IE and the sidebar.

Automatically open imacros sidebar when opening IE

WIndows 10, IE11, VERSION BUILD=11.5.498.2403

As Subject suggests how can I make this happen? Can't seem to find any clear info about this, seems it should be simple.

Re: Remove/ignore middle initial when one exists

Did not know you could do if else statements in eval, this is going to help me a lot. Thank you!

Remove/ignore middle initial when one exists

WIndows 10, IE11, VERSION BUILD=11.5.498.2403 How would I go about removing a middle initial IF a middle initial exists? Most of the time its just first and lastname, but on occasion there's a middle initial. Trying to figure out how to deal with the exceptions. If there was always a middle initial ...

Re: Activating a button

I was experimenting with event mode earlier but I was only using it on the 3rd box thinking I only needed it there, I recorded from the 1st box all the way through and it's working perfect. Awesome, thank you!

Bump. To be honest I'm not sure it can be done with the free version of imacros I have but if you happen to come up with something let me know. Thanks!

Re: Activating a button

I was assuming this command would hit the Enter key but the X and Y coordinates I really have no idea what those mean. I think this command will not work anyways with the free version of imacros i'm using. DS CMD=KEY X=10 Y=10 CONTENT={ENTER} With this one the 61 is the spacebar key on my computer, ...

Re: Extracting when no Name: or ID:

Awesome! I'm needing to extract that bill number so then I can make it find what to click on as that bill number is clickable. I'm not sure how else to make it find what to click on. So I duplicated your two lines and altered the last line. Probably not the neatest way, but it works! Thanks TAG POS=...

Re: Extracting specific numbers

chiv! I get it. I'm loving this substring method, it's so simple to use. I can rearrange numbers, remove dashes or even add dashes with this. Thanks!

Code: Select all

SET !VAR1 EVAL("var parc = \"{{!EXTRACT}}\"; var a = parc.substring(0,3); var a;")
