Re: Question About Tags

Not sure exactly what you are trying, but you can usually lock on an exact anchor (with the text) and then you can mess with the POS number and move to the next elements. Increase POS value and hit Test Extraction button to see what you are getting. Otherwise, need more specifics on a site, etc. Goo...

Re: imacro loop scripting consultant needed - Christian Nees

You need to interact with .net to make this work from my perspective. Do you have the full iMacros version to allow this?

Happy to chat with you.

Re: can i make a macro play after a while?

You will have to call your iMacro from another source that has a timer on it. Like VB or C#. Even VBS would work with a wait statement if you want to keep it simple. The VBS would then just shell out and call iMacros with a few switches.

Re: Search until found using extract?

Perfect. The only difference that I did was:

SET !TIMEOUT 360 so that the !TIMEOUT_STEP would default to 1/10 of that value. Took me a long time to find it though. Would be nice if the !TIMEOUT reference was referenced in the TAG area better.

Thanks!

Re: Easy Extracting Problem

If you want someone to write it for you, there are a few more details needed. It is also customary to pay for consulting time. :-)

If you just need some suggestions, tell us what you have tried and where it is not working. We can try to help.

Search until found using extract?

On a website, I need to wait for some text to appear saying my transaction is processed. It will appear eventually. It may be immediate, or may take 10-15 seconds. I could put a WAIT command in but I am trying to be more efficient. I know an extract will search by default 6 times. Then, if not found...

Field requires {TAB} out... not working...

I have a strange field on a website. Not sure what component they used to build it. It is a date selector. I can enter the value manually, but it does not register that there is actually a value present. I need to tab out of it for the value to be validated. I am trying: TAG POSxx... CONTENT=9/30/20...

Dynamically set the Paths in the Options...

I LOVE the version 7 interface. Much cleaner and more efficient. I like to organize my scripts in various folders. It would be great if I could dynamically change my Paths settings from .Net so that I can keep my code in different folders and more "cleaned up". Right now everything lives together an...

Re: REFRESH Only confirmation request?

Thanks! I tried the approach by just using the line URL GOTO=http://www.etc.com ....
When I use that line only, it loses all my info apparently. The refresh was working. Just required the user intervention to "resend" the data, etc. Any other thoughts would be appreciated.

Re: Newbie with a question

You would have to tie your macro into .net programming. The .net would start and wait for the specified time and then kick off your macro.

REFRESH Only confirmation request?

I have a macro that I need to run that has one row: REFRESH When I run it, iMacros sends me a popup window that says it needs to resend data, etc. I have to confirm that before it will continue. I am trying to run this unattended. How can I make it so I don't get that window? Thanks in advance, Dave

Consistency of Macro run in various environments...

Wondering if anyone has experienced a lack of consistency in how a macro runs in various environments? For example, when creating the macro, it seems to be fine and runs well. Then, I attach the macro to a call from a C# application. All of a sudden, my file does not seem to download anymore. Bear i...

Re: Notification via email of forum Activity?

You mention that by default I should be getting notifications on my posts. That is not happening. There is not a setting somewhere that I have missed is there?

Thanks,

Macro File Download needs overwrite confirmation...

Every month I download and process two files from the internet. I use the same filenames for the two files every month. My processing deals with the data and then the files are overwritten the following month. Previous to Windows 7, my script ran just fine and did not need human intervention. Now, I...

Notification via email of forum Activity?

Just wondering how much effort would be involved in turning on email alerts if there is activity on a post that we either post or select to receive alerts on? It looks like a lot of posts don't get more activity because people forget they have posted and don't get notified that there has been activi...
