Re: output data

It seems like Vista has different permissions than XP so I change my example to this: Thanks for the update, hajo, although the changes you made (different directory to save to and uncommenting an alert) don't really affect anything. :D I'm using XP, but some of my macros run on Vista machines too....

Re: output data

but how can I read data? And can I output data to a .ini file. Here is the link to the post where I found the Java method of reading in a file that I used to create the Java version of writing out a file shown above. You'll find the Java function in a post by joe_brown. http://forum.imacros.net/vie...

Re: [Javascript] Requesting Advanced Help to finish script.

These seems like it would be the most logical for the use of checking the array... against the extracts... but how do you write something like that where you compare a string in a variable against a whole array... It's seems like you can do this with a correctly syntaxed for in loop???? Let's start...

Re: [Javascript] Requesting Advanced Help to finish script.

Well, it's a bit hard to dig in without a little more detail, but here are some general suggestions. To search items in an array, a loop is commonly used. You'll find lots of information on javascript loops on the web. Common loop types are for loops and while loops. In your case, you'll also want s...

Re: URL problem after upgrade to 6.1.0.9

Note that Failing example: file://"C:/Documents and Settings/user/My Documents/iMacros/test.html" is not accepted by Firefox itself, too It should be file:///C:/Documents %20 and %20 Settings/user/My Documents/iMacros/test.html For completeness, you'll want to add the %20 between My and Documents a...

Re: output data

Note that the Java solution doesn't work with the new Java Plugin that ships with Java 1.6.0_10 and up (security exception due to permissions for writing a file). For now, they are shipping both the old and new plugin so that you can choose (on Windows, via the Java Control Panel) which plugin to us...

Re: URL problem after upgrade to 6.1.0.9

6.1.1.0 still seems to fail when I have a file based url with spaces in it. When I change it to no spaces, it works.

Failing example: file://"C:/Documents and Settings/user/My Documents/iMacros/test.html"

Working example: file://"C:/bin/test.html"

Re: output data

I was looking to do something similar, and I found out that javascript can use Java to write a file. I don't know how familiar you are with Java, but here's what I'm doing. I borrowed heavily from another post where someone was reading in a file by using Java, btw. //Function to write the file funct...

SAVEAS TYPE=EXTRACT converts \n to #NEWLINE#

In addition to the poster who is seeing his extracts saving commas as #NEXT#, I am also seeing \n (newline) saved as #NEWLINE# in csv files. I'm new to iMacros, so this is the first version of the plugin I've tried, but the documentation made it sound like these were supposed to be converted to comm...
