Hello drakemetal,

Starting with version 7.01 of the iMacros Browser and iMacros for IE, you can choose between comma (",") or the regional settings list separator (usually a semi-colon ";" in Wetern European countries) for reading and writing CSV files.

iMacros for Firefox does not yet support this functionality.

Firstly thanks for such an excellent thing as iMacros!

Secondly to clarify whether the news on this issue?

Using iMacros 7.2.1.0 for FF

Unfortunately I can not use changes in regional and language settings of the operating system, because the configuration data used by other software.

Digging in the wiki and the forum came to several decisions:
http://wiki.imacros.net/csv (at the end of the page "... You can also configure iMacros to use the regional settings of your system when reading and writing CSV files ..." and the flag "Use Regional settings in CSV files ")
In the article "Handling CSV file in a German version of Windows" (http://forum.imacros.net/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=1919) advise the parameter "Format" in the file "Schema.ini"
Unfortunately, all this does not apply to versions of iMacros for Firefox ...

Here is an example of what has to face:
Source xls-file (the contents of cells in brackets):

Code: Select all

[12345] [model1, model2, model3] [number]
while keeping in ms excell csv-format, we have

Code: Select all

12345;model1, model2, model3;number
and bring it to the normal format of the csv difficult

if we save through OpenOffice Calc obtain a csv-format for text columns:

Code: Select all

"12345";"model1, model2, model3";"number"
Then I can replace the semicolon with a comma
Afterwards, the edited file to be loaded without problems.

I do not want to write and use an additional utility to convert xls to the normal format csv.
Hopefully, this feature still appears in the iMacros for Firefox

Hi guys

I solve the colon and semicolon csv problem with OpenOffice Calc (it separates the fields with " and , ) and imacros recognizes the csv file and loops.

But the problem now is that it is only allowing me to loop over 10 rows of the csv file. If I put 11 or more rows it sends me an error.

Is there a possibility of increasing this limit?

Thanks

Limit is certainly more then 10 lines. Maybe something wrong with your data. Try different file.

Also, make sure you don't have any rows in your file where the last column is blank (the line ends with a comma) as explained in this post.
