I agree with bobis, I get the same crash of Firefox 16.0.2 with iMacros 7.6.0.0. My script runs to completion and then crashes Firefox. Fortunately, I save all extracted data to an external text file and can easily retrieve the results, but the crash is very annoying.

Thanks for alerting me to this thread, Tom. I didn't know any way to follow it for updates without adding a comment, so I am. Looking forward to reading good news in the near future...and rejecting frequent requests from FF to upgrade to FF16 in the meantime! ;-) Much appreciated!

Just noting that I'm having the same issue here - crashing at the end of running .js files. Not completely unusable for me, but a huge annoyance. I know this is being worked on - hope it gets resolved soon!

We found the source of the crashes: A recent internal change in Firefox 16. All works fine in Firefox 15 and earlier.

This change affects the ONERRORDIALOG command and Javascript *.js file replay.

With iMacros for Firefox 7.6.0.2 we fixed the ONERRORDIALOG issue. The js replay issue is more tricky, and not fixed yet. But we are working on it. I expect a solution in about a week.

Meanwhile please upgrade to 7.6.0.2 from here: http://wiki.imacros.net/iMacros_for_Fir ... on_History - if you continue to see crashes with normal iMacros macros please inform us. This should work fine now. Note that the js file replay problems are not fixed yet.

Tom, re: your recommendation:

"meanwhile, please upgrade to 7.6.0.2"

Is that just for the people who are on FF16 and are eager for improvement?
Or should I stay put on my current version since I'm having no problems with FF14 still.
I'm kind of hesitant to mess with something that is working fine until you think you have this under control with FF16 unless there's good reason to upgrade.

Also, on a side note, how does one determine what version they are currently on?
I don't see that in my side bar in FF and clicking on "About iMacros" doesn't answer the question so far as I can see.
Thanks!

start to record the macro. first line will show what version you are on. also you can open add-ons list in firefox and see imacros version there

If you aren't having any problems and don't need any of the fixes in the newer versions, then I would just stay put. If things are working for you then why change it unless there is a compelling reason to?

The other day, somehow, without saying I wanted to, Firefox went to FF16 during my opening of it.
No idea how I could have agreed to it, but thankfully, everything is still running okay.
I guess the scripts I'm running don't use the .js or the other command that fails.
So i thought I was okay.

Today, i got prompted for FF17!
Who needed that?
So the concern starts again!
Any feedback on the safety of 17 would be appreciated.

Hi miloshapiro,

You should disable automatic Firefox updates if you are that concerned about it!

Firefox -> Options -> Advanced -> Update
