iMacro freezes

Post by nadinem1 » Wed Aug 21, 2013 11:17 pm

I'm using:
iMacros version build=8300236
OS: Windows 7
Browser: Firefox 23.0

I am trying to run a macro which downloads files based on selections and checkboxes entries from a website. The problem is that when I run the macro, it works as planned except that when I attempt to download, the macro freezes. It freezes at the highlighted call: "TAG POS=1 TYPE=A ATTR=TXT:Download<SP>Full<SP>Dataset"

Unfortunately, you can't run the macro I show here because a login is needed to get access to the data, but hopefully, there will be enough here to figure out what is happening. I set the !TIMEOUT value very high because the query takes a long time to pull the data and enable the "Download" button.

Here's the script...

VERSION BUILD=8300326 RECORDER=FX
TAB T=1
SET !ERRORIGNORE YES
SET !TIMEOUT_MACRO 600000
SET !TIMEOUT_PAGE 600000

Hi !

No problem happens for me with the ONDOWNLOAD command adn Firefox 23, have you try without "WAIT=YES" ?

I don't use in my scripts, it seems to be the only difference.

Skippyto.

I've done some more looking and found that the problem may be that the tag that I need to select to make the download happen doesn't get created until the process returns with the results and redraws that part of the page.

Is there a way to pick up the new tags on the page? Or to re-scan the page for tags?

First answer Skippyto's answer/suggestion if you want other people (me at least...) to dig into your problem...
- (F)CI(M) = (Full) Config Info (Missing): iMacros + Browser + OS (+ all 3 Versions + 'Free'/'PE').
- I don't even read the Qt if that (required) Info is not mentioned...!
- Script & URL help a lot for more "educated" Help...

I've tried it without the WAIT, but I have the same issue; the run seems to freeze.

Note that the download does happen and it goes to my Download folder. The name is the default name. I've not been able to get it to recognize a name that I provide.
