Copying text for search

Post by cmarl » Thu Sep 11, 2014 4:37 pm

I am really new to this and have searched, searched, searched. Been trying different things for hours now and still haven't found a solution. Ok, anyway....
....................................
VERSION BUILD=8820413
XP Pro SP3
Firefox
....................................

My objective:

Copy text selections from a list, one at a time and enter each into a separate search engine tab. For example:

- Go to http://www.thepetsforums.com/forums/for ... faf16baec8

- Copy first selection:

About the Pets Forums
Forum Rules & FAQS: Read here before you post!

- Open new tab and paste into Google, click 'search,'

- Copy the next selection:

Announcements
Check here regularly to keep up with forum changes

- Open new tab and paste into Google, click 'search,'

...and so on, all the way down the list.

I have figured out how to:

- Open new tab with desired search engine
- Paste into search bar from clipboard

...but I cannot figure out how to select, then copy specific text. I will be on the same site each time but there may be variations in text. However, it will always be a list ranging from 1 - 10 selections. The above site is an approximate example.

Thank you in advance for your help!
