using XPCOM object from PDFjs, jsPDF or other PDF addon

Post by juanato » Thu Nov 06, 2014 11:55 am

Hello. I would apreciate any experience about calling PDF files to search pattern from iMacros and collect these data to export. May be via XPCOM, calling loadURL to inject javascript tag in the current page to load local PDFs and search the same pattern in all the adobe files.

Thanks in advance.

You can:

VERSION BUILD=8820413 RECORDER=FX
TAB T=1
URL GOTO=http://mozilla.github.io/pdf.js/web/vie ... myfile.pdf
URL GOTO=mozilla.github.io/pdf.js/web/viewer.html?file=c:\
URL GOTO=http://mozilla.github.io/pdf.js/web/vie ... pagina.pdf

But the URl may be encoded to prevent violation in the XPCOM level from Firefox when load local files.

Using the primitive PDFJS.get required to handle views of PDFs using the internal PDF html5 viewer in Firefox requires
load ...

var pdfUrl = "http://localhost/test.pdf"
var pdf = PDFJS.getDocument(pdfUrl);

... compatibility.js and pdf.js

See https://jsfiddle.net/46h1grpo/ and use it with iMacros. Only for *.pdf files with text because OCR is required for pdf with images as text.

You can use it as htmlfile local (with web server if you have security problems with localfiles) or with services like jsfiddle if required with iMacros.
