iMacros and Firefox Web Console

Post by Sulley » Fri Jan 27, 2017 3:39 pm

Hi everybody,

I'd like to open Firefox Web Console and to execute some JavaScript code in it. Can I do this using iMacros?

For now I'm not able to do this. Could you please help?

1. I'm able to open Web Console using the followng code:

Code: Select all

EVENT TYPE=KEYPRESS CHAR="k" MODIFIERS="CTRL,SHIFT"
The focus seems to be in the command line of Web Console when the console is opened.

But then...
2. How could I print needed JavaScript code inside Web Console or paste it?
I tried the following commands, but they do not work:

Code: Select all

EVENTS TYPE=KEYPRESS CHARS="window.alert("Test");"
EVENT TYPE=KEYPRESS CHAR="v" MODIFIERS="CTRL"
EVENT TYPE=KEYPRESS KEY=86 MODIFIERS="CTRL"
EVENT TYPE=KEYPRESS KEY=45 MODIFIERS="SHIFT"
3. After all, I need to "press" Enter. This also does not work, even if I paste code manually.

I have found several useful threads (like this one), but all of them were opened couple of years ago. Are there any updates since that time? Any progress?

I'm using iMacros 9.0.3, FF 50.1, Windows 7 x64.
