Yep, I also had a look at 'Katalon' after @PaulFancy had posted about it (I had never heard of it before, ah-ah...!), and I had posted some mini-Feedback in the following Thread (was about 'STOPWATCH')...:Cybes wrote:I've also started using Katalon Automation Recorder now as a result of waiting for this, however it lacks CSV and looping support in their browser-based version, Katalon Automation Studio (which is free!) however does support both of those things. It's recorder has no experimental mode either, but the ability to switch between selectors is very handy too. In saying that, given how well I know iMacros scripting language and how the tool functions, I do wish that Firefox support returned sooner than later.
I didn't experiment a lot with it, only did a few Recordings and playing them back, I found directly several/a bit too many mini-GUI Glitches, and I don't like too much the fact that Recordings (automatically) identify Elements by their XPATH which makes Scripts difficult to follow afterwards in 'Edit' Mode, and very likely to get broken if any Content changes on a Page...chivracq wrote:About other CR Add-ons, I actually had a look yesterday at some similar Tool like iMacros, hum, more like 'Selenium IDE' than iMacros actually, "Katalon" mentioned by some other User on the Forum, with (Free!) Add-ons for FF and CR, I installed it on FF, and it looked quite powerful to me, to be honest...
I didn't check if it supports a 'STOPWATCH' Functionality but the List of supported Commands is very long, so I guess it probably does...
But yep, the Tool ('Katalon') looks very promising and very powerful and worth investigating...
Other Alternative to mention is 'Kantu' as well maybe... I haven't tried it myself (yet) but a few Users only "swear" through/for it on SOF...
Mitigating Factor for my "Feedback" is that I use iMacros myself for "pure" Web-Automation and AI, and I find 'Katalon' is more for Web-Testing with Testcases and Test Suites, with as "Aim" to get 'PASS'/'FAIL' Results...
(I couldn't find some '!ERRORIGNORE' Equivalent from some quick search btw...)
=> For the time being, I still prefer to stick to the FCI I use for my "Prod-Env.":
iMacros for FF v8.8.2 + Pale Moon v26.3.3 (=FF47) + Win10_x64.
Yep, I'm still using v8.8.2 for FF, ah-ah...!! And I'm probably one of the most Advanced Users on this Forum, oops...!
iMacros for FF v8.9.7 + FF55 (v55.0.3) is a good Alternative as well, except that the 'FILTER' Command got broken since FF52...
(I've been maintaining a List of EnhReq's in this Thread for about 2 years now, absolutely not a single one got implemented in iMacros for FF, so I don't see any Reason why I should move from v8.8.2 which was/is the most Stable Version, all Versions (for FF) after that Version were only addressing Commands (or the whole Add-on) that got broken by later FF Versions, absolutely no New Functionality got implemented since...)
