Solution: Error dialog when starting Firefox

Post by Tech Support » Mon Mar 26, 2007 9:42 pm

Note: This error is fixed with V 0.6.1 or later - please download the latest version here: http://www.iopus.com/download/imacros-firefox

Users that have installed both, iMacros for Firefox and the iMacros Browser (http://www.iopus.com/imacros) sometimes receive a error message during Firefox startup (and/or a crash when closing Firefox):

The problem is not related to iMacros for Firefox itself (even so the error dialog shows up in Firefox). It only occurs when you have the regular iMacros version installed, too.

Solution: Please update your Scripting Interface to a new version with scripting support for Firefox. Detailed instructions and the download link are available at http://forum.iopus.com/viewtopic.php?p=6894

This new Scripting Interface version not only fixes this issue, it also allows you to remote control Firefox from any programming language :)

Alternatively you can downgrade your iMacros for Firefox installation to V0.6.0.3: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefo ... +fl+mz.xpi

iMacros for Firefox users on Linux or Mac OS are not affected by this problem.
