I was going through iMacros 10 Beta Feedback thread and saw this by Tom from Tech support:
For security reasons in Firefox, you cannot navigate using URL GOTO to a privileged URL such as javascript:, file:, data:, and about: (although about:home and about:blank are allowed)
but i have tested it, iMacros 10 does not recognize these page
Code: Select all
about:home
about:plugins
about:support
about:profiles
if you try to navigate to these pages using "URL GOTO=" it does not do anything, no errors nothing. If you try to find an element in these pages or try to extract something from these pages the macro gets stuck at that step and freezes indefinitely.
I do not know if only the BETA version was able to work on these pages and not the final iMacros 10.0.2.1450. Or does it have to do with firefox that it does not allow the iMacros plugin to do anything on these pages.
Nope, it was the same in all 5 or 6 Beta Builds, even 'about:home' never "worked"...
And it is/was actually even "worse"(...!
), if you landed (by mistake) on any 'about:xxx' Page (already opened in the Browser Instance), for example after a 'TAB CLOSE' or some 'TAB T=n', even a simple 'URL GOTO' to some "standard" Site wouldn't do anything, and any 'EVAL()' Statement while (still) being on such an 'about:xxx' Page would hang the Script with no pardon...
I had reported it as one of the "fairly Blocking" Behaviours in my Opinion, but it got a bit ignored and the next Build was already the Full Official v10.0.2.1450 that got pushed to all Users..., tja...!

- FCI not mentioned: I don't even read the Qt...! (or only to catch Spam!)
- Script & URL help a lot for more "educated" Help...
