iMacros EOL - Attention!

The renewal maintenance has officially ended for Progress iMacros effective November 20, 2023 and all versions of iMacros are now considered EOL (End-of-Life). The iMacros products will no longer be supported by Progress (aside from customer license issues), and these forums will also no longer be moderated from the Progress side.

Thank you again for your business and support.

Sincerely,
The Progress Team

Featuer Request for Future Versions

Post by additional001 » Wed Sep 10, 2008 12:31 pm

Feature: the ability to add to a variable or even a specific variable geared for numbers

Reasoning; With this type of feature you could reduce the amount of code and actually cut down on the time it takes to write code

Example;

TAG POS=1 TYPE=A ATTR=CLASS:btnActionIcon<SP>aiFriend*
WAIT SECONDS=2
TAG POS=1 TYPE=IMG ATTR=ALT:Submit
WAIT SECONDS=3
TAG POS=1 TYPE=IMG ATTR=ALT:Close

TAG POS=2 TYPE=A ATTR=CLASS:btnActionIcon<SP>aiFriend*
WAIT SECONDS=2
TAG POS=1 TYPE=IMG ATTR=ALT:Submit
WAIT SECONDS=3
TAG POS=1 TYPE=IMG ATTR=ALT:Close

etc etc... could be replaced with something like

SET !VARNUM1 1

TAG POS={{!VARNUM1}} TYPE=A ATTR=CLASS:btnActionIcon<SP>aiFriend*
WAIT SECONDS=2
TAG POS={{!VARNUM1}} TYPE=IMG ATTR=ALT:Submit
WAIT SECONDS=3
TAG POS=1 TYPE=IMG ATTR=ALT:Close

INC !VARNUM

The example is obviously on a small scale (obviously this is designed with scripts with many many lines[of the same type] in them)
You could use this with a play loop to perform many of the same types of actions on a single page(with different POSitions).
