iMacros syntax questions!

Post by LAPIII » Sat Oct 31, 2009 3:40 pm

  1. In a given script, such as the Stopwatch.iim, do apostrophes always indicate instructions?
  2. How can I make text in blue, or any other color? I didn't quite understand:
    TAGs and HTML

These lines are simply ignored by iMacros. So you can use them for comments as well as e.g. to temporarily disable parts of your macro.

Are you asking for the HTML code to change a text's color? Then please cf. http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/types.html#h-6.5

No, I just want to change some text color and I don't know how to do this. if it's by HTML, how and where do I enter HTML. Please give me an example!

You would need to use Javascript to set the style properties of the object

Something like this: -

Code: Select all

 function setBackGroundColor(inObject, color){
    inObject.style.backgroundColor = color;
}

// And call it like this
 setBackGroundColor(document.all.textBox, 'red');

//OR

document.all.textBox.style.backgroundColor = "red";
iMacros for Firefox supports JavaScript Macros (Scripting)
JavaScript supports Java via LiveConnect

Therefore: You can write powerful macros with iMacros for Firefox. Have a look at this one

Post feature requests here. Maybe one day, they'll pin it?

I forgot about the thread How did I manage to get these shortcuts

'Ctrl + H' seems to be the closest solution we have, although I don't know how to use it. So could you please show me as well as with 'Accesskey E' where I think that it'll answer Shortcut and/or Menu option for accessing Macros sidebar?
