Using iMacros as a keyboard expander

by jeffneedle on Sun Jun 23, 2013 7:30 pm

Hi. Brand new user. And I have no idea if this is possible.

I'm using a Chromebook and so I don't have access to my normal utility programs. I use Autokey for keyboard expansion. I want to be able to expand a series of characters to enter information I enter on an ongoing basis. For example, I type jn1 to expand to my full name and mailing address. It's very handy.

Can I use iMacro to do something like this? I know I'll likely have to choose from a dropdown list of macros, but I'd love to be able to have iMacro do nothing but echo back a series of characters.

Any help would be most appreciated. Thanks.
