Thank you for your answer chivracq, I started testing old version of iMacros in PaleMoon and yes, it works so much better than glitchy FF (outdated). The file upload doesn't work in 10.0.2 as you saying which is bad and not suitable already for us, PE we can't use also because we are working as a team with 4 more people, Enterprise version gives us the additional 5 machines to use with the same license, also the newest version of iMacros browser or IE I hope so, they have functionality like image validation which is very useful for us, as there is a lot of banks with security when you only can mouse click on PIN codes, the image validation do this work amazingly and we love it.
Older versions cannot do this, 8.9.7 was the best version, but it's already outdated and doesn't have functionality which we need in 2019.

The biggest problem here is the FILEDELETE which locks the file and f***k up our all automation. :)
OK forgive me for my previous Reply, half-Rant and half-polluting the Thread, oops...!
(But this one is the most "interesting" Thread on the Forum at "this moment", ah-ah...! I managed to watch "silently" for a while until I couldn't resist anymore, oops...! (Not much I can add, I would think, when there is some clear "Bug" with one specific Command in one specific Version...) )

Most Stable FCI 2019-03 is still FF55 and v8.9.7 for FF, if your IT-Dept still allows you to use FF55.
=> If they "absolutely" want to update FF55 to FF65, and if you are allowed to install PM..., then PM28 works with iMacros for FF v8.9.7.
And like I already mentioned, PM is more stable and reliable and faster than FF, and even more suitable for Business Environments I would think, where 'Parental Control' for example and some more "unnecessary" Functionality has been stripped in PM.

(If you want to "relate", I'm a "Private" User and my "Prod-Env" is still using iMacros for FF v8.8.2 + PM v26.3.3, and I do maintain a v8.9.7 + FF55 mostly for the Forum, and I don't care about about v10.0.2, too buggy and limited for me, not usable... And yep, I only have the 'Free' Edition "now" (well, a bit "customized"), but I had a chance to test the Full 'PE' Version during the Beta-Testing period..., and hum..., not "impressed" (compared to v8.9.7), Reason why I'm kind of "waiting" for some next v10.0.x for FF Update... )

I've always been using the Free Add-on for FF, so I don't really know all the Licensing Models, especially since all Commercial Versions came out with v10.0.x for CR/FF and v12.5 for IE.

But yep, I know the 'DS' Mode and 'Image Validation' can be very powerful, I never had a chance to test/play with those myself, as I always only used the Free Add-on for FF, even if I've been using iMacros for about 10 years now, ah-ah...!

=> " 8.9.7 was the best version, but it's already outdated and doesn't have functionality which we need in 2019."
=> Best Version: Correct...! 8)

=> "Outdated": Beh..., pfff..., nope, I don't really agree... (As I still use that Version myself, and even some previous Version for my 'Prod' Env..., so 'v8.9.7' is definitely not "Updated" yet, and still has a few months to "live"..., and maybe even longer, if PM keeps supporting v8.9.7 for FF... 8)

=> "doesn't have functionality which we need in 2019." Hum..., I agree a bit with you on that..., apart from the fact that a lot of Functionality in v8.9.7 is not supported anymore (or yet...?) in v10.0.2 which was the first v10.x Version for FF, there are a few "extra" Functionalities that iMacros should (or very soon...!) cover, and that I have already mentioned earlier... Hum, trying to find the Thread...

But hum, this is maybe already too "Advanced" Thinking, iMacros for FF must first get back to the Level of v8.9.7 qua Functionality...

>

But OK, @OP, you realize I completely "polluted" your Thread about 'FILEDELETE', very sorry about that, gggrrr, I only thought I had some "obvious" easy Solution..., with v10.0.2 for FF, only I had forgotten that 'File Upload' was not supported in this Version... (I knew you were in "good hands" with @Marcia and @Tom from TechSup, but hum..., I thought I was more clever at some point...)
=> Time to go shouting for some new v10.x for FF with a bit more Functionality than v10.0.2...
And otherwise, like I mentioned, PM27 or PM28 still support(s) iMacros for FF v8.9.7, with all Functionality thus...! :D

>

Oh hum, about the "I thought I was more clever at some point..."..., euh..., I would actually have 4 or 5 Workarounds for your Scenario... (OK, a few are a bit cumbersome, and 1 very cumbersome, involves both iMacros for FF + CR running at the same time, ah-ah...!, quite funny...!, with CR doing the 'Upload' part, and FF doing the 'FILEDELETE'... [But forget about it...!]), maybe I'll let @Tom from TechSup mention at least 2...!?

And I always tend to be "a bit verbose" in my Posts, oops...! About my 4 or 5 'Workarounds" yet, oh jee...! Well, one is "easy", and involves the 'Scripting Interface' and deleting the 'File' from '.VBS'..., or the "Deleting" '.VBS' could also be standalone and just for that purpose (and launched manually), just like a '.CMD'/'.BAT'/'.PS' File...

It's okay, it was interesting to read your thoughts about things you know well, so if you have any workarounds for us, I will be happy to read about any of them in details.

Now about the FF 56 ver., am yeah our IT department and, also CyberSec department wants us to update everything as it more secure and etc etc. We like the 8.9.7 iMacros FF extension as it allows us to use .js scripts with .iim together and do a lot of things we need, but the banks, partners are updating all their connections, software, so for that we love that image validation in the newest version, which is a cool feature to use every day and we ready to pay for that Enterprise version, the newest iMacros browser emulates IE and works really fast comparing to FF and even to PM last ver., but it has bugs like FILEDELETE which is critical for our team and breaks all automation. So there is no point to waste money for a product then which doesn't give us full functionality which is described in the product.

Seems like we have to search for alternatives like I seen in some threads were mentioned Kantu or Katalon, but I think its a little bit complicated for us, as we are not programmers and our IT team, also has their own work and won't waste time to create every single new script because the script interface is different as I see in both alternatives comparing to iMacros. So it's hard to make now any decision on which product we should stay/use in updated browsers.

Sorry for 2nd post in a row, but as I understand and also, support can't help here much, that the bug with FILEDELETE won't be fixed soon and there is no point to buy a license until this critical thing gets fixed.

Hi haitashe,

One of our developers looked into this issue yesterday and discovered that the problem is inherent in Internet Explorer and not a bug specific to iMacros (the iMacros browser uses the IE engine):

https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/m ... es/107813/

While there still may be a possibility that something can be changed inside of iMacros to compensate for this issue, the assumption "won't be fixed soon" remains accurate, which means that if this is something really urgent for you, I'm afraid you will have to look elsewhere for a solution.

Update:

It is important to note that FILEDELETE attempts to permanently delete the file, the same as if you were to manually delete the file using Shift+Del. The file lock prevents this delete from occurring until the lock has been released. However, it is still possible to "soft" delete the file (send it to the Recycle Bin) even while the file is locked, but as mentioned, FILEDELETE only does a "hard/permanent" delete.

It would be possible to call the macro from a script or program using the iMacros scripting interface and then perform a "soft" delete on the file from the script/program rather than using FILEDELETE in the macro. In VBScript, the typical way to delete a file is to use FileSystemObject.DeleteFile, but this also performs a "hard" delete. A quick web search yielded the following VBScript example of how to send a file to the Recycle Bin without prompting the user:

Thank you for the answer, Tom.

Ugh.. weird that Microsoft after that long time did not fix anything from their side. About the soft delete, sounds interesting, I have to check that at the work because we don't need a permanent delete, the Recycle bin should be okay too.

I will comment later after I try the soft delete. :)

So maybe does anyone know how I can do this thing work? I need somehow to soft delete the file after my script do this work.
