Question - Wildcards seem to be weak. Unrestricted use fails

It seems that (especially when attempting to select drop down box options) the wildcards will fail on me.

For example I may have a combo box with the following items...

Jul 2007
Aug 2007
Sep 2007
Oct 2007

If i try to write a script that will select July....

CONTENT=%*Jul*2007*

This will most likely fail. It seems wildcards do not work so well in this case for some reason. I've had some limited success with them in the past but only in very simple situations and where only one wildcard is used.

Can this be confirmed? Should wildcard use be limited? What are the rules for wildcards???

I will look into this and get back to you ASAP.

The reason it is failing is that the line is CONTENT=$*Jul*2007* Not CONTENT=%*Jul*2007*

Thanks. I had a read through the manual again and I found the place where it differenciates between % and $. Actually, I got tipped off when reading someone elses post and their example used $. I was like "whats $ mean??".

Thanks. Problem solved.
