File download hang on SAVE dialog box

Post by deckers007 » Tue Jan 10, 2006 7:41 pm

i have a macro that is kicked off from a batch file via a scheduled task. The macro works fine wheni am working on the workstation and i am logged in, but when i leave and the computer locks, the scheduled task starts but hangs on the save dialog. I know this by scheduling the task, locking the station and then logging back into the workstation when i know it is running, and sure enough it is sitting at the SAVE dialog box until it times out after 60 seconds!!

HELP

Did you specify a user name and password in task scheduler? IIM needs to run under a "normal" user account, therefore user name and password are required. Without them, all programs started by the task scheduler are run as special "system" user. Please see also http://www.iopus.com/guides/winscheduler.htm for details.

Tried that, does not do the trick, funny thing i found though is that if i try and re-record the macro, i can not click on the SAVE button on the IM popup, i can only click behind in the regular windows SAVE button.

I am experiencing the same exact problem. Version 5.01 build 106. It appears to be a bug in the program. (the same behavior has been replicated on several different machines).

In our testing it appears to be related to a Microsoft security update that fixed "File Download Dialog Box Manipulation Vulnerability "

This problem occurs when a user is logged in, and the machine is locked, we can not take the lock off for security issues. Is there any other workaround?

We are looking into the KB905915 issue and plan to provide a permanent solution as soon as possible.

In the case of static download links you can use the "SaveTargetAs" feature as workaround, please see http://www.iopus.com/iim/help/save_target_as.htm

Update: Version 5.10 has been released. This version solves the problem. It can be downloaded from http://www.iopus.com/download/
