Can't start Chrome from iimRunner

Post by dorphalsig » Sun Sep 09, 2012 7:15 pm

Hi,

I want to be able to automate chrome from within a PHP script, but I cant seem to open it.

I already have set up a chrome profile dir @ c:\foo by running

Code: Select all

 chrome.exe --user-data-dir=c:\foo
and in that profile I have installed the imacros extension for chrome (version = 5.1.1)

I am running imacros enterprise demo version 8.0.1.1895

What I'm doing is calling

Code: Select all

iimOpen('-runner -cr -crUserDataDir c:\foo')
I get return code -1 and

Code: Select all

iimGetErrorText
returns a blank string.

Looking @ the log for iimRunner you see

What I find strange is the path where it tries to find Chrome :

Code: Select all

C:\Windows\system32\config\systemprofile\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe
Funny thing is chrome is NOT located at that did, but at

Code: Select all

 C:\Users\David Sarmiento\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe
,
which as I guess you already know can be translated to

Code: Select all

%LOCALAPPDATA%\Google\Chrome\Application\Chrome.exe
.

I think the whole error is iimRunner not finding chrome. So the question is... How on earth can I tell iimRunner to look in the proper path?

Hi David,

Would you please try it again with the latest 8.03 beta and let us know if you still experience the issue?
Regards,
