Facebook Add Friends to Group

Post by dragonfire » Mon Nov 16, 2015 1:22 am

Using Chrome, Windows 8

I want to add my friends to a facebook group, but alphabet by alphabet such as a, b, c, d.

The group link is as follows.
https://www.facebook.com/groups/groupid/

The Macro Recording is as follows :

VERSION BUILD=8340723 RECORDER=CR
URL GOTO=https://www.facebook.com/groups/groupid/
TAG POS=1 TYPE=INPUT:TEXT FORM=ID:u_0_1b ATTR=ID:u_0_g CONTENT=a
TAG POS=1 TYPE=SPAN ATTR=TXT:Close
TAG POS=1 TYPE=INPUT:TEXT FORM=ID:u_0_1b ATTR=ID:u_0_g CONTENT=a
TAG POS=1 TYPE=SPAN ATTR=TXT:Close

But getting the following error

RuntimeError: element INPUT specified by ID:u_0_g was not found, line: 3

Yep, normal, FB uses Dynamic ID's, if you record the same Macro several times after a Refresh, you'll notice that the "u_0_1b" part changes.
You then need to use Wildcards (*) to replace the changing part, and you might have to adjust "POS=1" with "POS=2 / 3 / 4 / etc...".

I guess OP won't react to your Post, like they didn't bother to react to my previous Post, but you didn't do much-much better either sorry, you never followed up/finished your previous/first Thread:
- PAY-Job - Need Help with extracting webiste-date - regular

Sorry but if you don't use the Forum a bit correctly yourself, that doesn't motivate much me and other Advanced Users to want to spend some time digging into your Pb's/Qt's..., IDEA...! (Well, I speak for myself of course...)

Hum..., and CIM...!
