iMacros Chrome extension - code help for automation

Post by chkiran2k » Sun Nov 06, 2016 11:07 am

Hello friends,

I need a sample code (for something like socialtrade platform).

Scenario:
The webpage has about 125 rows. Each row has 3 columns... Serial No, Descirption, Button (hand shaped) that can be clicked. Initially only the first row button can be clicked which opens a separate tab/ window that auto closes in 30 seconds and control comes back to original page. Then 2nd row click button gets enabled. Like this I need to complete 125 links clicking.

I tried to record when clicking from 103 row to 125 rows. From 103 to 113 link are there. From 114 to 125 Facebook Like option is given. I am giving the code generated below. Can you modify the code and help me so that I want 35 seconds gap between each link is clicked. Also I want to stop the the macro from executing when Facebook (given after 113 in below code) comes or if the Link contains a Youtube address (from 103 to 113).

So, in general below are the requirements:
1) all 125 iterations need to be in a loop:
2) Between each click there should a wait time of 35, 36, 37, 38,39,40,39,38,37,36,35 seconds this should repeat till all 125 completed. In short I want wait time in loop to be 10 different values each time and then repeated again.
2) The macro should stop execution further if any of the below condition exists anywhere from 1st to 125 positions
a) If the link clicked has a address with youtub word
b) If the link is a Facebook Like option (as shown in below text after 113)

Thanks
Kiran

Sample code I generated using iMacro record:

You have taken a totally wrong approach and this can not be solved simply using recorder function of iMacros. You need to use JavaScript to run your Macros as A custom Javascript function to process all the links and read the content when facebook or youtube word would appear and take appropriate action and build the script further, you can even check if after clicking the link and after 30 seconds the link is showing Pending or Click and based upon that script can click the link again.

It took me 15 days of experimenting and learning to build the script but can't provide it and can only give some rough directions like below

Define a Macro in JavaScript variable and execute it using your function, use the functions provided by iMacros to pull the correct words like iimGetExtract(); and build the logic.

I hope this would help.

@vikhaldar, oh...!, I thought you were sharing a Solution, ah-ah...!

But, yep, sorry, I never reacted to this Thread nor did any Digging in it because of the completely "useless" = "non descriptive" Thread Title the OP gave it, as all Threads on the 'iMacros for CR' Sub-Forum are about "iMacros Chrome extension" and all Threads on the whole Forum are as well about "code help for automation", there is not one single Word in it that gives any idea what this Thread is about.
I am actually nearly amazed that you an the previous Poster managed to find it...

+ FCI is missing for all 3 Posters in this Thread (read my Sig).

=> @vikhaldar, you cannot edit the original Thread Title, only the first Poster (who never followed up btw  ) can do it, or the Forum Admin (who doesn't come often to the Forum and won't waste any time to read the whole Thread to try to understand what it is about to think of a descriptive Thread Title) but you can still give a descriptive and meaningful Title to your own Post.
=> And mention your FCI, and that might motivate me to read the whole Thread to see if I can help, but I only hep Users using the Forum correctly, and "Descriptive Thread Title" + "FCI mentioned" + "Neat Follow up" are 3 of my "Criteria"...
- (F)CI(M) = (Full) Config Info (Missing): iMacros + Browser + OS (+ all 3 Versions + 'Free'/'PE').
- I don't even read the Qt if that (required) Info is not mentioned...!
- Script & URL help a lot for more "educated" Help...

Dear Coders,
Need your help

Earlier Socialtrade has the code as below:
TAG POS=2 TYPE=I ATTR=CLASS:fa<SP>fa-hand-o-up<SP>custom&&TXT:
WAIT SECONDS=35

Now the icon has changed... its either "fa-link" or "fa-chain" ... and the icon is suffixed with the text "Get Connected" in a button format

Need help in getting this code updated...
I tried by using it this way:
TAG POS=2 TYPE=I ATTR=CLASS:fa<SP>fa-link<SP>custom&&TXT:
WAIT SECONDS=35

..... but did not work

Please help
