Additional Tag Column to the Saveas-csv-File

Post by consuli » Tue Jan 25, 2011 12:39 pm

Hello!

I need an additional tag for further data processing. The read webdata is so scrumbeled with "\n" and other nasty signs, I cannot further process it without a tag for the data row.

How can I write a constant tag as an additional column to the saveas-file?

Thanks
Consuli

Couldn't you just do a search and replace in a more aggressive text editor at this point? Try Notepad ++ or something like that. Then you can search for \n and replace it with "something"\n.

Just a thought. If that is not what you were looking for, maybe I need more information?

Sure. But difficult to automatize.

Hi Consuli,

You can add additional values to be saved to your CSV file by using:

ADD !EXTRACT value

Where value is any value you want to save (if the value contains spaces you need to replace them with <SP>).

Each value you add to the extraction buffer, either by using TAG ... EXTRACT=... or using ADD !EXTRACT, will be saved as a separate column in your output file.
