extracted data in same excel, but new page, with each loop

Post by pratiksha27.jain » Thu Feb 02, 2017 1:02 pm

Browser : Internet explorer 11.0
Os : windows 7 enterprise
I MAcro :11.1.495.5175

---------------

hi,

I am trying to loop my macro code to extract the data from different tabs of a weboage to a csv file.

Is there any way by which i can extract the data of every tab (in every loop) in a new page of the same csv/excel file.

the basic idea is to avoid complications of creating so many files. and saving the data in same file but different tabs.

Perhaps we can't extract data in excel with imacro.

but still looking forward to see a solution to it.

Please help...

Thank you.

Nope, not possible, afaik, that's the "Principle" of a '.CSV' File.
Even from Excel if you try to save a Workbook as '.CSV', I think only the Active Sheet gets saved (or maybe you get several '.CSV' Files, one per Sheet with Data).

I guess you will need to save your Data with iMacros in separate '.CSV' Files and import them manually into your Excel File, but that Process can probably be automated from some VB Macro from within Excel or with VB/VBS.

Or maybe Excel has some Command Line Commands that would allow you to add/convert several '.CSV' Files into one '.XLS' File from a '.BAT' File.

And I guess that can probably be done directly from iMacros with the Enterprise Edition by using the Scripting Interface with some VBS Script that would govern the iMacros Script + the Excel part..., but pfff..., that's a bit "High Level" technically I would think...
- (F)CI(M) = (Full) Config Info (Missing): iMacros + Browser + OS (+ all 3 Versions + 'Free'/'PE').
- I don't even read the Qt if that (required) Info is not mentioned...!
- Script & URL help a lot for more "educated" Help...
