-kioskmode command line parameter from Visual Basic

Post by bhiga » Fri Oct 21, 2011 11:31 pm

Just upgraded to v7.50.1728 from v7.40.1598 and when I try to launch iMacros from Visual Basic 2005 via

Code: Select all

i = iim1.iimOpen("-kioskmode")
I get a return value -1 and error message from iMacros of "Unknown command line parameter"

This used to work in v7.40.1598

Running iMacros via command line with

Code: Select all

imacros.exe -kioskmode
DOES work.

It doesn't seem to matter whether iMacros is licensed or not, and I rebooted and reinstalled just to make sure it wasn't an installation problem.
Other command line parameters (notably -key) work fine.

I can use

Code: Select all

iim1.iimDisplay("#KIOSKMODE#")
to switch iMacros to kiosk mode after it is launched, but it is cleaner to simply start it in kiosk mode from the get-go.

iMacros version: 7.50.1728
OS: Windows 7 Professional SP1 64-bit US English
Browser: iMacros Browser 7.50.1728

Hi! Sorry about this regression bug. We made improvement in the iimInit error checkings, but one of them went a bit too far.

This is fixed in the latest 7.50 build. Please redownload iMacros and make sure you have build 7.50.1729

Is "#kioskmode#" documented?

I know I found it somewhere, along with a similar command for sending iMacros to the tray (I think it's #TRAY#) but for the life of me I can't find it documented anywhere anymore.

And Thank You for the quick fix! :)

I was wondering this myself! I found it mentioned only here in this post, so I updated the Wiki for iimDisplay to include these values.
