iMacros EOL - Attention!

The renewal maintenance has officially ended for Progress iMacros effective November 20, 2023 and all versions of iMacros are now considered EOL (End-of-Life). The iMacros products will no longer be supported by Progress (aside from customer license issues), and these forums will also no longer be moderated from the Progress side.

Thank you again for your business and support.

RANDOM row?

Post by sdtony » Mon Jan 02, 2006 11:59 pm

I would like to audit results of a vba macro (which calls IM). The excel macro works well but the web page is a bit unstable so I'd like to audit the extracted values randomly. The excel macro incorporates:

totalrows = ActiveSheet.UsedRange.Rows.Count
For row = 2 To totalrows
......
......
Next row

to loop through each row and perform the commands including calling a few internet macros. I'd like to run it for 100 randomly selected rows now instead of all the rows. Any suggestions?

One idea would be to use
For row = 2 To totalrows STEP 3
Of course, that is not random but at least reduces the number of loops. You can also change the step interval and/or the start row randomly.
