Traces of iMacros
Hi all, I would just like to ask...Is it possible to somehow find out the it's not actually me who is filling out the forms and that it's the macro instead ? Just interested if such a sophisticated program leaves any traces on the server Many thanks

Re: Traces of iMacros
There is ALWAYS a way to find out if it was a macro or a human, at least with a high degree of certainty. This doesn't mean that iMacros leaves some sort of "Run by iMacros" message, because it doesn't. However, think about the message you wrote, and the one I'm writing back to you. I've spent between 30 seconds and a minute getting here since I first clicked to post a reply. By the time I'm done and click Submit, there will be a large amount of time between when I clicked to post a reply and when I click Submit, not to mention possibly some preview clicks beforehand.
Web servers can log all kinds of things, like the IP address and the time a page was requested. If someone is monitoring that sort of thing, they might see that they average about 3 minutes between post clicks and submit clicks, and now all of a sudden they see one IP address consistently only taking 3 seconds between clicking post and clicking submit. There's a darn good chance that a macro is running in a case like that.
