sending player licence key to iimInit()

Post by jayv » Wed Mar 04, 2009 3:08 pm

has anyone ever successfully sent the player licence to the iimInit() using a trial version (meaning no key entered) of iMacros?

I want to distribute a copy of iMacros with my software, and bury the player licence key in my code by passing it as a parameter to the iimInit() function. I was told the syntax is...

istat = m.iimInit("-runner -key ABCDEF-T4555-ABCD-ABCD2-TUVXY-BCDE5", true, "", "", "", 300);

however, when iMacros launches, it still presents me with the licence nag screen and wants the user to click on continue. Also, i am wondering what happens when the licence expires. I was hoping that by passing in the key, the nag would go away, and iMacros would continue to work even after the trial expired (but only when called via iimInit passing in the key.

There is currently a bug that prevents the "-key" switch from working correctly. That will be fixed with V6.31.
