Post by 322126384 » Fri Aug 12, 2011 1:47 pm

Is it possible for imacros to open a editable html file (open in Notepad) and save data from the !EXTRACT command onto the html and save it? i would like to do this but i don't know how. Please Help!

kind of like this:

Code: Select all

TAB CLOSEALLOTHERS
TAG POS=1 TYPE=P ATTR=TXT:*"Text"* EXTRACT=TXT
'open .html in Notepad
'take the value of !EXTRACT and paste it on page
'save the .html
'open .html in Firefox
SET !EXTRACT NULL
SEARCH SOURCE=REGEXP:"([0-9]{1,2})" EXTRACT=$1
TAG POS=1 TYPE=P ATTR=TXT:{{!EXTRACT}} CONTENT=EVENT:FAIL_IF_FOUND

no, iMacros cannot open a file in Notepad, it controls your browser, not your computer. if you want to get even close to that, you'll need to use the scripting interface to open your file in notepad and add the text.
