iMacros EOL - Attention!

The renewal maintenance has officially ended for Progress iMacros effective November 20, 2023 and all versions of iMacros are now considered EOL (End-of-Life). The iMacros products will no longer be supported by Progress (aside from customer license issues), and these forums will also no longer be moderated from the Progress side.

completely unusable imacros

Post by jackoByte » Tue Nov 15, 2011 5:33 am

Just installed imacros.
Completely unusable, crashing, won't show any recorded macros saved to files.
Shows macros saved to bookmarks but they are empty.
Online examples either entirely don't work, error out or produce nothing of consequence.
How could such a poor version make it out to the wild????
Chrome is version 15.0.874.120 m, imacros as obtained via chrome install...

Same problem, cannot use it at all.
Chrome 15.0.874.120 m
iMacros 3.5.3 Chrome
Windows XP Pro SP3

Cannot save to file. Get error message "Error occurred while building file tree: Error: Error calling method on NPObject."
Save to bookmark saves file name but macro is not save.
Since I can't do either one of these, it is unusable in chrome.
Dock macros panel to browser window option does not work.
I didn't go much farther since there is not much I can do.

Sorry for that.

The next update will fix several usability bugs like not being able to save macros, or Chrome crashing on close plus it contains many improvements we were waiting for.

That update is already being tested over here and should arrive in public as a beta, soon (I'll drop a note in this thread).
By then it will take some days to get through the Chrome extension review process in order to be available through the chrome extension system.
