Parse XML (input file) for data source of filled web form

Post by misc_user123 » Mon Oct 01, 2012 2:11 am

I just discovered iMacros and tried it, to automate the creation of questions on Mentimeter.com. It captured the steps easily (macro record) and I can modify the script to make a different question with answers, etc.

So, my goal is to take .JQZ files (XML format) of Hotpotatoes quizzes and turn them easily into them to Mentimeter questions, for interactive use in my classes. Using iMacros, is there a way to loop through a parsed XML file and execute commands based on that data? I possibly could get the data to CSV, although there is some massaging necessary.

If not, is there some way to integrate JavaScript (to load, parse the XML input) and pass it to an iMacros script? I'm trying to avoid doing it all in JavaScript, since iMacros is simple.
