The iMacros products will no longer be supported by Progress (aside from customer license issues), and these forums will also no longer be moderated from the Progress side.

Add TrashCan Feature!
Add a feature so if you delete an imacros it can be located in the trash can, im sure this has happened to more people other than me and it sucks you lose the macros forever, so annoying.
Re: Add TrashCan Feature!
I would agree and I would add: When clicking on 'Record', keep the previous Version of '#Current.iim' (by sending it automatically to the 'Trash' Folder...).lumer8 wrote:Add a feature so if you delete an imacros it can be located in the trash can, im sure this has happened to more people other than me and it sucks you lose the macros forever, so annoying.

Re: Add TrashCan Feature!
Yup thats another much needed feature, i have overwritten that #current file many times by accident with important stuff i needed in it.I would agree and I would add: When clicking on 'Record', keep the previous Version of '#Current.iim' (by sending it automatically to the 'Trash' Folder...).
Re: Add TrashCan Feature!
Yep, me too, sometimes I keep up to 10 '#Current.iim' Macros open, especially when I do some Tests (for the Forum) using different Recording Modes, but sometimes I click too quickly on 'Record' instead of 'Record Options' and the previous Recording is gone...lumer8 wrote:Yup thats another much needed feature, i have overwritten that #current file many times by accident with important stuff i needed in it.

Re: Add TrashCan Feature!
I think something like this was mentioned many many moons ago!
But I would much prefer a it just back it up a couple times such as a #Custom-prev(ious).iim and then a #Custom-last(chance).iim and then of course your most recent record #Custom.iim
The way I started getting around this was with an external editor... such as Notepad, Notepad2, or Notepad++. After I record I immediately save it as something else... like domain-hint-snippet.iim that way I'm free to continue working on a other scripts. If I get too many snippet files I make folders... or move them out of the iMacro's path and refresh.
