Closing Firefox?

by Curiousity on Mon Mar 03, 2008 6:27 pm

Is there a way for the macro to terminate by closing firefox off?

I'd like to be able to use iMacros to automate some scheduled tasks, but I need a way to close the window afterwards.

If there is, thank you for helping. If not, thank you for your time.

Sort of. As far as I know, there is no way to close a window directly from a macro (.iim file), HOWEVER you can just call the macro from a script then close it from that. Example in Javascript:
Code: Select all
iimPlay(yourmacro);
window.close()

I'm assuming this is for security reasons?

Hello71 is correct.

In addition, the regular Scripting Interface (part of the iMacros Scripting Edition) contains the iimExitcommand to close Firefox from any external application or script.
