Is this possible?

Post by googlealchemist » Tue Sep 13, 2011 8:02 pm

I was just turned onto the imacros for firefox addon, but it seems that perhaps I need a different type of imacros than the ff specific one, hence my posting in this forum.

I am hoping to find help in how to automate this process.

I have large files of text, I would like something to insert a | pipe character every x number of characters/words in order to separate it into different sections for various programs. I would also like a similar function to have a specific line of text inserted every x number of characters/words after each pipe symbol.

I have other uses to automate if possible as well but this would be a huge start and relief!

I've looked over the faq and wiki and a bunch of the blog posts and videos but I am still at a loss as to how I would accomplish any of this.

Thanks

Thanks, would you be able to recommend something that could do that?

Or is there a way to open a text or google docs file in firefox and use imacros?
